Project Background

Considering achievements of NPC, its concept framework for CSR funding of ICRO and the ICRO Project had been approved for three years by IPL in FY 2021-2022. FY 2023-24 is the third year of the project. NPC as service provider for implementing the ICRO project addresses the following areas as per Schedule VII of the Companies Act:

a)Promoting education and employment enhancing vocation skills among women
and livelihood enhancement projects.
b)Ensuring environmental sustainability and conservation of natural resources
c) Rural development projects
d)Promotion of preventive health measures

The project involved setting up a IPL Centre for Rural Outreach Centre (ICRO) by NPC at its Head Office premises in New Delhi and pan India access through NPC’s regional offices spread across the country. ICRO has its staff including Director who works under supervision and control of DG, NPC

ICRO deliverables are
i.Rural outreach and capacity development activities for farmers and youth.
ii.Amrit Internship Program focused on productivity for livelihood enhancement.
iii.Promotion of energy and water use efficiency in MSME for sustainability.
iv.Promotion of scientific waste management in public or charitable hospitals
v.Sustainable growth and climate change response advocacy
